I listened to the Fighting for the Faith interview of Jovan Mackenzy yesterday. I hadn’t heard of Jovan or his music before, but I am a new fan. I downloaded his recently released (and free) album and listened to it twice through. It is the most Bible centered and Gospel proclaiming music I have listened to in years. In case you wondered, it is a rap album. But that shouldn’t scare anyone off if you are not “into rap”. Just download and listen. I like to think of it as “Discernment Rap” or “Truth Rap”. That is because as the Truth is proclaimed, heresy is called out…by name. So take a listen while I look for the rest of his music.
